When we think of the word “welfare”, most of us are conditioned to picture social programs designed to aid poor people or people with disabilities; SNAP (Food Stamps), Medicaid (Medical Assistance in Minnesota), Free and Reduced School Lunches, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (aka Minnesota Family Investment Program in Minnesota), Social Security Disability Insurance. Picnic In The Park

Calling Daily Work job seekers, donors, volunteers, friends, and families Let’s gather to celebrate community at a Picnic in the Park! The Picnic will be Tuesday, September 10 from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the east picnic pavilions in Como Park, (Midway Parkway and Como Avenue).  Celebration will include  sharing stories & food and activities such as music, lawn games, kid fun, and a silent auction & raffle drawing.
