In 1997, Twin Cities' Lutheran pastors identified a critical need for living wage jobs for their urban church members. In response, these pastors wrote grant proposals, received funding, and in 2000, formed Daily Work: an employment-focused ministry utilizing congregational volunteers to support, mentor and assist other congregation and community members failing to make ends meet in low-paying jobs.
