Becky Billings is an experienced digital marketer, providing online advertising for companies through positions at agencies and manufacturers. She currently works for Proto Labs as a Search Engine Marketing Specialist. With Master’s Degrees in Philosophy and English, she’s also been an English and Philosophy instructor in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota over the years with areas of expertise in editing, copywriting, training, social media and communications. She loves the mission of Daily Work, as she has fought the unemployment battle herself and knows the particular struggles job seekers face on their career journeys.

Marilyn Bruin

Marilyn (Lyn) Bruin, professor in Housing Studies at the University of Minnesota, earned a doctorate in Human Development and Families Studies with minors in Economics, Housing, and Political Science at Iowa State University. She serves on session at Macalester Plymouth United Church and is a director of the Minnesota Home Ownership Center. Her favorite role is grandmother to Javier, Sidney, and Ryder.

Lian Conrad

Lian is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work degree at St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas. She enjoys meeting people and looks forward to working with job seekers from diverse backgrounds. Kristen Ellsworth

Kristin is a leader in academic advising at Capella University and brings over 10 years of experience coaching, hiring, and developing employees. Kristin is excited to bring her experience with job searching, career development, and developmental coaching to Daily Work. Last year, Kristin completed her master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a focus on leadership coaching in business.

Gretchen Guenter

Gretchen was born and raised in Minnesota. She earned her bachelors in education from Pacific Lutheran University, Washington and a masters in education from the University of Minnesota. Gretchen has been a teacher and worked with teacher candidates. The vision of Daily Work has inspired her to volunteer and she is excited about working with people as they explore new job possibilities. In her free time Gretchen loves to walk, bike and spend time with her family.

Anab Gurhan

Anab is currently a senior at Metropolitan State University. She is working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in social work. She was born and raised in Somali, East Africa, but has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years. Anab is excited about the opportunity to apply her knowledge and skills, and to complete her practical experience at Daily Work, but she also hopes to make a difference because her passion is helping and supporting others to reach their goals. At the same time she believes that finding success starts with you. She enjoys volunteering on her free time because it makes her feel like a better person. A fun fact about Anab is that she loves to listen to music while she cooks.

David Krahn

David Krahn. Dave worked for a total of over 30 years for the DuPont and 3M Companies; most of his experience involved pharmaceutical R&D. He has extensive organization and project management experience. Dave is a graduate of St. Olaf College (BA) and the University of Wisconsin - Madison (PhD). Until 2017, he chaired the Daily Work Board of Directors for most years since it became a nonprofit in 2006.

Jana Martin

Jana Martin joins Daily Work as a volunteer after spending ten years as teacher in Wisconsin and Connecticut followed by twenty-five years as a corporate tax accountant in Minnesota. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her accounting certification from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Jana has enjoyed volunteering as a literacy teacher for adults throughout her working career and now is looking forward to expanding that volunteering to Daily Work.

Toni is currently the Ambulatory Manager at Health East Surgery and brings over 20 years of hiring experience to Daily Work. Toni is eager to share her experience interviewing and reviewing resumes with job seekers, especially through Job Club at Daily Work. She is also a part-time student, attending Metropolitan State University in the College of Individualized Studies, where her focus is Management and Religious Studies.

Lee Olafson

Lee transferred to Metro State University after graduating from Century College with both an A.A. in Liberal Arts and an A.A.S in Visual Communications Technologies specializing in interactive web media and graphic design. Lee is currently volunteering at Daily Work as a web design/social media communications manager designing graphics and web media while helping with the routine maintenance of the Daily Work website to gain work experience in his career field. Ultimately, Lee plans to utilize his passion for art and design and his experiences at Daily Work to start up his own concept art and web graphic design business catering to small start-up and non-profit businesses helping with establishing their identity branding, online marketing and promotional needs.

James Sullivan

James is a Minnesota native (hailing from Bloomington) who can be found tinkering behind the scenes at Daily Work--working on developing databases, securing grants, and chipping away at any number of miscellaneous internal projects. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, where he majored in psychology and political science. A passionate researcher, James specializes in evolutionary psychology, altruism, religious psychology, and the philosophy of empiricism. When not at Daily Work or neck-deep in papers, he enjoys the clarinet and raising hermit crabs.

Ye (July) Zheng

Ye (July) Zheng is a Social Work intern. She is completing a Master’ degree in social work at University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is an international student from China. Her undergraduate background is also social work. She finished her bachelor degree at ZheJiang ShuRen University in China. She has many volunteer and human services experiences in China and U.S., such as being a new intern in civil affairs bureau for Chinese government and being a volunteer for teaching kids to read and write at Hope community in Minnesota. After coming to U.S., she found that she is interested in working with diverse population of clients who come from all over the world. She has a lot of passion to help people in a professional way. She loves the mission of Daily Work and looks forward to helping job seekers achieve their goals. In her leisure time, she likes reading, watching videos and dancing.
