Anab Gurhan

Anab is currently a senior at Metropolitan State University. She is working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in social work. She was born and raised in Somali, East Africa, but has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years. Anab is excited about the opportunity to apply her knowledge and skills, and to complete her practical experience at Daily Work, but she also hopes to make a difference because her passion is helping and supporting others to reach their goals. At the same time she believes that finding success starts with you. She enjoys volunteering on her free time because it makes her feel like a better person. A fun fact about Anab is that she loves to listen to music while she cooks.

Becky Billings
Communications Volunteer (651) 204-3043

Becky Billings is an experienced digital marketer, providing online advertising for companies through positions at agencies and manufacturers. She currently works for Proto Labs as a Search Engine Marketing Specialist. With Master’s Degrees in Philosophy and English, she’s also been an English and Philosophy instructor in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota over the years with areas of expertise in editing, copywriting, training, social media and communications. She loves the mission of Daily Work, as she has fought the unemployment battle herself and knows the particular struggles job seekers face on their career journeys.

Gretchen Guenter

Gretchen was born and raised in Minnesota. She earned her bachelors in education from Pacific Lutheran University, Washington and a masters in education from the University of Minnesota. Gretchen has been a teacher and worked with teacher candidates. The vision of Daily Work has inspired her to volunteer and she is excited about working with people as they explore new job possibilities. In her free time Gretchen loves to walk, bike and spend time with her family.

Maya Lehmann

Maya is a rising senior at St. Olaf College. She is originally from Rapid City, South Dakota but has lived in Minnesota for the past three years. She is working towards her bachelor’s degree in Religion and Music with a concentration in Race and Ethnic Studies. Maya is grateful for the opportunity to learn about non-profits and the field of Social Work through her internship at Daily Work. She is excited to work with a supportive staff and hopes to encourage, support, and empower job-seekers who come into Daily Work. In her free time, she enjoys playing violin and spending time outside.

Marbel Lih

Marbel Lih is a Social Work intern.She is in her senior year to complete a Bachelor's degree in Social Work at Metropolitan State University. She identifies as a black female African American immigrant and upholds values such as respect. justice. equality, dignity and freedom. She is a mother, wife, caregiver, and beyond that an empathetic professional who will stop at nothing to find solutions. Since immigrating to the United States, Marbel found her passion in the helping profession through her work as a human service worker for both private and state organizations.As an immigrant. Marbel has gone through the hurdles of job search and building a solid cover letter or resume.She knows first-hand the frustrations and burden job seekers face and that where she derives her drive to serve at Daily Work.

Toni Muellner

Toni is currently the Ambulatory Manager at Health East Surgery and brings over 20 years of hiring experience to Daily Work. Toni is eager to share her experience interviewing and reviewing resumes with job seekers, especially through Job Club at Daily Work. She is also a part-time student, attending Metropolitan State University in the College of Individualized Studies, where her focus is Management and Religious Studies.

Bola Oduloye

Bola is a student at Metropolitan State University majoring in Social Work and will be graduating from the Social Work program in December 2017. She is currently employed as a Direct Support Professional at the Mentor Network. It is her pleasure to work with people and be a good team player. Lee Olafson
Web Design/Online Communications Volunteer (651) 204-3043

Lee transferred to Metro State University after graduating from Century College with both an A.A. in Liberal Arts and an A.A.S in Visual Communications Technologies specializing in interactive web media and graphic design. Lee is currently volunteering at Daily Work as a web design/social media communications manager designing graphics and web media while helping with the routine maintenance of the Daily Work website to gain work experience in his career field. Ultimately, Lee plans to utilize his passion for art and design and his experiences at Daily Work to start up his own concept art and web graphic design business catering to small start-up and non-profit businesses helping with establishing their identity branding, online marketing and promotional needs.

James Sullivan
Data Entry/Evaluation Volunteer (651)204-3043

James is a Minnesota native (hailing from Bloomington) who can be found tinkering behind the scenes at Daily Work--working on developing databases, securing grants, and chipping away at any number of miscellaneous internal projects. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, where he majored in psychology and political science. A passionate researcher, James specializes in evolutionary psychology, altruism, religious psychology, and the philosophy of empiricism. When not at Daily Work or neck-deep in papers, he enjoys the clarinet and raising hermit crabs.
