Sharing Daily Work
By: Baberich Abendan, Case Management Intern
Daily Work was initially formed as a ministry of several Lutheran Churches to connect unemployed congregation members with other church members who could provide mentoring and networking assistance. Today, Daily Work’s financial support still comes mostly from individual donors who learned about Daily Work through their community of faith or friends or family of people connected to Daily Work through their faith community. Whether our donors support us so generously thanks to the impact of faith-based beliefs or for other reasons, Daily Work is thankful and fortunate to be the recipient of an incredible outpouring of love and concern from caring people. If it has not been said often enough, please hear us say: “Thank you. Your support is improving lives and helping community members thrive and prosper.”
You might not realize it immediately, but the job seekers at Daily Work are giving back, too. My fellow interns and I are performing a market research project to understand Daily Work’s position in the local nonprofit ecosystem. A theme that we immediately identified is that more than half of the job-seekers we interviewed heard about us from their friends or family.
Word-of-mouth is the biggest marketing tool used by Daily Work. Without it, we might have to spend more money and time to inform potential job seekers about our services. We would like to say a wholehearted thank you to everyone who recommends Daily Work to their friends, family, and colleagues.
Our mission at Daily Work is to provide employment services and mentoring service so job seekers can thrive. Your efforts to make Daily Work known to others contributes to every single step we take to fulfill our mission. Your good words for Daily Work contribute to our current success. Your word-of-mouth referral or recommendation of Daily Work to others reflects the quality and effectiveness of our services. You are strengthening our identity as an organization and inspire us to keep improving.
With overwhelming appreciation and gratitude, thank you to our donors, supporters, job seekers and ambassadors. Your continuous support to Daily Work, whether it is financial or advocacy, shows how our organization’s services are still relevant and important in the local nonprofit ecosystem. Thank you for recognizing our importance and thank you for making it possible for us to continuously help our job seekers. If you have an idea for us, know of a potential volunteer, or if you know someone who might benefit from our employment services, please continue to spread the word!
