There Is No Limit To What We Can Accomplish!

THANK YOU to all who attended Daily Work’s Steps to Success Luncheon on Wednesday, April 26. Our table captains drew in a big crowd as the luncheon is a great opportunity for job seekers, employment partners, volunteers, supporters and staff to take a break from email, step out of the office and connect with each other face-to-face. For those who were unable to attend, we missed you and hope you can join us next year

Miller_Kerri_Photo_Smaller-optimizedKerri Miller, host of MPR News with Kerri MillerThe Thread® and Talking Volumes™ did a fantastic job connecting what we do for work to how we identify and value ourselves as people. I followed with the keynote address about how Daily Work gives us the opportunity to live out our values by creating pathways to sustainable jobs that nourish personal growth and opportunity and provide for our basic human needs.

Raymond Effiom wrapped up the event, reminding us that when we work together, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.

As I drove back to the office and the excitement faded away, the effects of the past weeks’ long, busy days began to take hold. But the tired that settled in was the kind of tired that comes with a sense of accomplishment and rejuvenation, in knowing that we had created something good and that we are all in this together.  Thank you for your support, whether it is of time, talent or treasure, and thank you for your commitment to making real connections that matter.

Julie Hoff, Executive Director
