Volunteering... Good For Everyone
Being a volunteer is one of the most rewarding ways you can enhance your life. At Daily Work, you have the opportunity to inspire and assist someone who is struggling in their life. By using your enthusiasm and know-how and Daily Work's advice and resources, you can be a partner in changing someone's life for the better. Not only that, volunteering at Daily Work is a wonderful way to gain new skills, bolster your resume, and just feel good about you!
Daily Work relies on committed volunteers and student interns who are passionate about helping others and making our community a better place. All this volunteer power means that Daily Work requires very little overhead to succeed. Due to partnerships with Lutheran churches, we incur no costs for rent. By using existing resources and partnering with other organizations, we avoid duplication and mitigate material costs. By expanding the number of volunteers we have to serve our clients, we can add capacity, without adding significant costs; making Daily Work a great investment because we can use the majority of our resources for assisting clients.
You make our life-changing program possible. As a volunteer you can:
- Be a mentor or coach
- Help prepare resumes
- Teach basic computer skills
- Teach interview and job professionalism skills
- Assist with office work
- Help write grants
- Help improve our technology
- Serve on a committee or board of directors
- Share your own ideas for making a difference!
You can also make a donation that will directly support eliminating our waiting list and serving more struggling job seekers. Whether you choose to get involved as a donor, a volunteer, or both, we are thankful for your support.
