Sofía is originally from Ecuador and deeply understands the importance of removing barriers to work and building prosperity. As an immigrant, she has witnessed the challenges of navigating new environments and accessing economic opportunities. 

After interning with Daily Work in the summer of 2024, she resonated deeply with the organization’s holistic approach and focus on empowering job seekers to lead to financial stability and fulfilling lives. Her experience working directly with clients reinforced her passion for advocating for equitable opportunities and supporting Daily Work's Mission. 

Now a senior at St. Olaf College, Sofía brings experience in sociology, anthropology, political science, and nonprofit work. Beyond her work, Sofía enjoys engaging in creative projects related to music and cultural events. She is excited to contribute her skills and perspective to Daily Work’s board and help expand its impact in the community.
