Help Level the Playing Field for People Who Want to Work
Every Dollar Makes a Difference
Research from Children's Defense Fund of Minnesota shows that just $1,000 more in annual family income improves outcomes for children. As family incomes rise:
- Graduation rates and future earnings for children rise
- Arrests, teen pregnancies and need for public assistance decrease substantially
Starting wages for Daily Work job seekers consistently beat the minimum wage by 50 percent; the average starting salary of our job seekers is over $30,000.
