What to Expect in the Interview and Hiring Process
At Daily Work, we share interview questions in advance because we value transparency, equity, and reducing barriers. We believe interviews should assess who has the skills and approach needed for the role, not who is best at interviewing. By providing questions in advance, we aim to create a more inclusive process that allows candidates to prepare thoughtfully and participate more fully.
Our hiring process typically includes two interviews. First interviews are generally conducted via Zoom and last 45–60 minutes. Candidates selected to move forward will be invited to a second interview at our office, which lasts 60-90 minutes and includes an opportunity to tour the workspace and meet additional team members, including staff, interns, and volunteers.
Interviews may include supervisors, staff members, board members, and other members of the Daily Work team. Typically, two to four Daily Work representatives participate in each interview to ensure candidates have the opportunity to learn about the role and organization from multiple perspectives.
In some cases, we may request additional interviews or conversations to gather any other information needed for the hiring decision. We strive to communicate clearly throughout the hiring process and keep candidates informed about next steps.
