This is Omar’s first term with AmeriCorps as a housing navigator, where he is learning to be resourceful, supportive, and impactful, hands-on and alongside like-minded people at Daily Work. Omar is a person-centered team player blending hospitality experience with hands-on work in human services and housing navigation. 
Raised in Louisiana, His deep interests in history, communication, and people led him back to school after an eight-year gap. Omar attended Saint Paul College (shoutout to SPC), and is now pursuing his BA in history at the University of Minnesota. When he has time between schoolwork, Omar is at the local coffee shop politicking about the big game or working
