Aric is amazed by how much the job market has changed. Once upon a time, he’d go door to door soliciting restaurants and retailers for applications. He’d fill them out in person, on the spot, by hand.
Today, business owners would look sideways at people if they showed up without a scheduled appointment or an interview.
“I’ve been telling my friends that (Daily Work) will help you get on the computer and help you find jobs,” says Aric. “They don’t know you can’t be on the street looking for a job.”
As human resource processes have automated, finding and applying for any job – no matter how low tech or entry level - requires internet connectivity and a computer. Typing, email accounts, and cell phones have replaced paper, pens, and home phones for contacting and communicating. Orientation and training is often done completely online.
The good news? Job applications and navigating online processes are some of the critical services Daily Work provides to job seekers every day. Your partnership makes this possible.
Aric is grateful for a job that pays well and has benefits. All of us at Daily Work are grateful for YOU and your commitment to job seekers like Aric. During these difficult times, your support provides hope and opportunity for better jobs and a better quality of life.
