At Daily Work, we believe that access to healthcare is a basic human right. We are honored to support individuals and families in our community as they navigate employment, housing, and health—and that includes helping people understand and access the resources available to them.
That’s why we’re celebrating a big step forward: Starting January 1, 2025, MinnesotaCare eligibility expanded to include undocumented individuals for the first time in the program’s history.
This change has the potential to transform lives. It allows more people—many of whom have gone without regular healthcare for years—to receive preventive care, emergency services, and support for chronic health needs. For immigrant families and individuals, this also means greater peace of mind and a healthier path forward.
MinnesotaCare helps cover a wide range of services including doctor visits, mental and behavioral health care. This comprehensive coverage can make a life-changing difference for individuals and families navigating health challenges.

This expansion is not just a policy change—it’s a reflection of our state’s commitment to inclusion, dignity, and public health.
But this progress is already at risk.
Within the first months of the 2025 legislative session, two bills were introduced that would reverse this expansion. If passed, these proposals could take away healthcare access before many community members even have the chance to enroll.
While Daily Work does not engage in lobbying, we believe in staying informed and sharing information that affects our community’s well-being. When policies change, the impact reaches real people—our neighbors, friends, and families.
