April is a graduate student at Augsburg University pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a specialization in Multicultural Macro Practice. She is passionate about advocating for change and addressing systemic issues affecting local, state, and tribal communities, learning to challenge oppressive systems to create ways to make long-term social change. Her internship goals would like to focus on policy analysis, organizational and program development, and leadership. April enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, shopping and a good cup of coffee.
